A genuine ‘work-class’ ROV the AC-ROV is small enough to ‘fly’ through pipes of only 190mm (7.5”) internal diameter, yet man enough to carry out a range of inspection tasks inside pipes and tanks, flooded areas or even under a boat.
Equipped with very powerful lights the forward facing colour camera has amazing clarity in even the murkiest of water.The unit is ‘mission adaptable’ with a tough two-axis manipulator and additional rear-facing camera. The unit is rated to 100m water depth and is equally agile in all axis of flight. The system is controlled from topsides via a strong umbilical tether and can be transported to site by one operator as everything is contained within two lightweight waterproof cases. The images are recorded using the same Palmscope system as the Flexi-Probe camera and as such it can all be processed on a standard PC. The AC-ROV is a tough, robust piece of kit that repeatedly demonstrates its abilities. |
