To carry out the supervision and product-line responsibilities of workshop duties to ensure the timely preparation of customer job orders and completion to a high quality standard of routine workshop activities.
Internal & External Relationships
Internal Relationships: Workshop Supervisors, Product Line Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers.
Directly Reports to: Workshop Supervisor
Directly Supervises: Workshop Personnel
External Relationships: Clients / Suppliers
Set the standard and lead by example for your team
Responsible for quality assurance across all aspects of the workshops
Providing communication from employees to supervisors on new ideas, frustrations and potential for improvements.
Leading by example in policies and procedures.
Motivating and engaging teams to help achieve departmental and company objectives.
Responsible for assurance throughout the delivery of jobs through the workshop.
Promote high quality standards day to day.
Organising correct equipment or assets to perform the agreed planned tasks.
Organising personnel resource to maintain maximum efficiency and productivity from the available resource.
Ensure on time delivery through planning and scheduling.
Communication & reporting through all stages of delivery.
Reviewing team’s workload requirements, planning, prioritizing and organizing resource as required.
Assist with planning, out of normal hours’ requirement for resource to complete tasks.
Assist in promoting and delivering short and long term continuous improvement goals for the department.
Continuously review and feedback on the items above.
Ability to manage and coordinate a large number of varied tasks to tight schedules.
Training and Development
Reviewing skills gap and developing training plans for employees.
Ensuring employee training requirements are being completed.
Ensuring employees are aware of their role and expectations
Ensuring employees are aware of the organisation, policies and procedures that must be complied with
Carry out guidance and coaching to employees
Setting performance standards and examples to be followed
Assisting supervisors with appraisals on a regular basis, providing accurate constructive feedback and goals.
Set the standards.
Development of and adherence to process and procedures.
Define QC requirements for department and equipment.
Ensure risk assessments and mitigations are in place for all hazards.
Ensure all HSE tools are utilized.
Housekeeping to be best in class.
Responsible for reporting all QHSE related issues in a timely manner.
Measure progress / results against agreed plans and report progress
Take action when required to ensure plans are being delivered
Periodically reviewing, acting and ensuring company procedures, process and policy's are being adhered too.
Reviewing teams procedures to ensure completion in accordance with acceptance criteria.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities
To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is filled out.
Internal Training Requirements
STATS Internal Courses – Basic Level
Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and pressure testing techniques.
Good educational background.
Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge
Previous Oil & Gas Industry experience desired but alternative industry including aerospace or other safety critical environment would be acceptable.
Experience working with hydraulic / electrical / electronic control systems/ ROV's.
Previous supervisory / man management skills would be advantages.
IT skills: MS office (Word / Excel) & Database use.
Operational offshore experience desirable, but not essential.
Stock management knowledge will be an advantage.
Ability to use inspection and lifting equipment.
Understanding of Environment, Health and Safety.
High level of understanding in: Engineering drawings, Engineering terminologies and assembly and pressure testing equipment.
Possess good supervisory skills.
Possess good communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to motivate self and others.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and effective solution to STATS clients and customers.
Ability to meet and exceed Client expectations.

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small focused team working to high standards with Client lead times being the delivery driver
