
Accounts Assistant - APAC

Job Purpose:
- To work within the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of APAC results within the month end timetable.
- To ensure that accounting records are accurate and up to date.
- To ensure payments and invoicing are processed accurately and timely.
Directly Reports To:
- Regional Finance Manager
along with:
- Group Finance Team Members
INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Project Engineers / Managers, Regional Manager, Department Managers, other finance team members
External Relationships:
- Bank, Suppliers, Customers and Auditors
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the Finance Manager to produce monthly APAC accounts (up to Trial Balance) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Book AP invoices and process payments on a timely basis.
- Book Sales orders, process invoicing requests and apply cash receipts on a timely basis.
- Update monthly APAC Revenue and Revenue forecast, in conjunction with Regional Manager & Region Finance Manager.
- Compile and review inputs for monthly payroll.
- Assist with annual audit.
- Assist with tax submission process.
- Assist with the preparation of the yearly budget.
- Ad hoc finance support as required.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:
- To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is complete.

- STATS Internal Courses - Basic Level
Qualifications:
- Three to Five years relevant industry experience within a finance department, with similar experience.
- Working towards or planning to start financial qualifications is desired, but not essential.
Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge:
- Financial accounting experience
- ERP system experience
- Competent in the use of Excel
- IT skills using all Microsoft packages
Personal Qualities:
- Highly motivated and able to use own initiative
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to prioritise workload and excellent organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Having the ability to work in a team and communicate with all levels of staff
