Workshop Technician

Job Purpose:

• To support the operational requirements and ensure good housekeeping within STATS Pipeline LLC.
• To carry out general maintenance and housekeeping within the STATS workshop.
• Operate the forklift truck.
• Control stores inventory, ensure spares are allocated to the correct job number.
• Support workshop supervisor with documentation.

Directly Reports To

• Workshop Supervisor

Along With

• Workshop Technician

Main Responsibilities

• Collate all relevant information regarding weights and dimensions in readiness for transportation of materials to sub-contractors.
• Load and unload deliveries using forklift.
• Stock control of stores inventory.
• Complete delivery notes and goods received notes.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities

• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
• To comply with STATS integrated Management System when carrying out project engineering tasks. 
• Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

• Manual Handling
• STATS Internal Courses – Basic Level
  
  

Qualifications

• Standard Grades.

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

• Forklift license, up to 16t.
• Understanding of environment and health and safety.
• General maintenance.
• Mechanical engineering technical background.

• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to be flexible in working practices (e.g. activities/hours).
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• A positive attitude and pleasant manner towards colleagues, clients and suppliers.
