Job Purpose:
  • To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools / services and equipment at Onshore, Offshore and Client locations as well as operating various tools in a safe manner while ensuring that a quality product and service is provided to the client at all times.
  • Act as a main point of contact for clients while offshore / at client locations.

Main Responsibilities
  • To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools/services and equipment at onshore, offshore, customer and STATS locations to standards/procedures set out by STATS & STATS customers/clients.
  • To travel to onshore/offshore sites both in the UK and overseas in the support of STATS operational requirements.
  • Work to and maintain a high standard of quality for the STATS products and services.
  • To ensure that all defects to material, components or equipment are reported to the Workshop & Field Manager and projects team.
  • Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
  • Pro-active in the proposal and introduction of new assembly and testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
  • To liaise with the Workshop & Field Manager on any issues arising.
  • Be involved in environmental, health & safety issues.
  • Aid in the creation of risk assessments as and when required.
  • Liaison with the Field Technician Level II & III or the Project Engineer on any material, client/project issues.
  • Help with proposal and introduction of new safety equipment.
  • To maintain material certification and traceability for all material used.
  • To ensure that all gauge/inspection equipment is correct and current prior to use.
  • Any other duties required by the Workshop & Field Manager, and/or Workshop Supervisor if at STATS premises.
  • To support other departments as and when required.

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team working to high standards with client lead times being the delivery driver.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and effective solution to STATS clients and customers.
  • To have a flexible approach to working times, as offshore and site working both in the UK and international will be on an adhoc basis with varying trip durations.
  • Ability to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • At all times to represent the company in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ideally with a multidiscipline approach in mechanical and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/specifications and any other relevant documentation associated with the project.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities 
  • To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paper work is completed.

qualifications
  • Minimum sound mechanical trade with a good all-round understanding of oilfield equipment assembly and pressure testing techniques.
