Job Purpose:

To support the significant increase in Hot Tapping and BISEP Operations in Abu Dhabi.

Internal relationships

• Hot TAP Supervisor

Directly Reports To

• Operations Manager

External Relationships

• Clients and Customers

Main Responsibilities

• Hot tapping operations using a full range of machines.
• BISEP Installation – additional training required.
• Fitting completion & flow through plugs.
• To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools/services and equipment at Onshore, Offshore and Client locations as well as operating various tools in a safe manner while ensuring that a quality product and service is provided to the client at all times.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients while offshore/at client locations.
  

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities

• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.

• Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is complete.

• STATS Internal Courses – Basic Level

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade with good all-round understanding of assembly and pressure testing techniques.

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

• Experience in oil & gas mechanical service and hot tapping and plugging services.

• Mechanical engineering background.

Personal Qualities

• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to be flexible in working practices.
• A positive attitude and pleasant manner towards fellow staff and suppliers.
• Good communication skills.
