Job Purpose:

• The Mobilization Technician will survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, assemble, and test various STATS tools/services and equipment at STATS locations. This position will perform workshop duties including mobilization / demobilization of STATS auxiliary equipment set out by the appropriate procedures and mobilization work instructions.

Main Responsibilities

• To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various auxiliary equipment and cycle count job and hoses boxes for field readiness
• Perform workshop duties including mobilization / demobilization of STATS auxiliary equipment set out by the appropriate procedures and mobilization work instructions
• Work in a safe manner at all times to protect all colleagues, clients and equipment.
• At all times to represent the company in a professional and effective manner.
• Work to and maintain a high standard of quality to the STATS products and services.
• To ensure that all defective material, components or equipment is reported to your supervisor.
• To ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
• Pro-active in the proposal and introduction of new assembly and testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
• To liaise with the Workshop Supervisor on any issues arising.
• Report on any environmental and health and safety issues that arise.
• Always work within STATS standards and company procedures.
• Involved in environmental, health and safety issues.
• Any other duties required by the Operations team.
• Aid in the creation of risk assessments.
• Help with the proposal and introduction of new auxiliary equipment and testing methods.
• To ensure that all gauge/inspection equipment is correct and current prior to use.
• To support other departments when required.

• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
• Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paper work is completed.
  
  

 experience/ Competence/ skills/ knowledge:

• Mechanical trade with good all-round understanding of oilfield equipment assembly and pressure testing techniques.
• Ideally with a multidiscipline approach in mechanical or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work as part of a small, focused team working to high standards with client lead times being the delivery driver.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and effective solution.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/specifications etc.
• The use of assembly and test equipment in a safe manner.
• Ability to use various test equipment.
• Full understanding of various methods of assembly and testing.
• Ability to use lifting equipment effectively.
• Understanding of environment and health and safety.
• Competent level of understanding in:
  • Engineering drawings
  • Engineering terminologies
  • Assembly and pressure testing equipment
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• A positive attitude.
