Job Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for owning and executing the Business Development strategy for the allocated US region. This includes identifying and developing new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and achieving budgeted sales targets. The role requires building market intelligence, formulating sales strategies, and managing CRM data within the sales pipeline to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct all business in full compliance with STATS’ ethics and corporate guidelines.
- Lead and support Business Development Managers in meeting with new and existing clients to promote STATS’ products and capabilities.
- Actively promote the STATS product range, highlighting benefits and value propositions relative to competitors.
- Identify market gaps and opportunities where STATS’ products and services can be expanded or adapted, collaborating with internal teams to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Ensure customer RFQs are delegated promptly to the Inside Sales team.
- Drive accuracy and consistency in team Sales Pipeline reporting.
- Oversee the recording and collation of Sales and Marketing data within the Sales Pipeline.
- Meet or exceed sales budgets and regional performance targets.
- Ensure the team completes meeting reports and assigns measurable follow-up actions with clear timelines.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:
- Comply with all STATS and/or client quality, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, or hazards to your manager or foreman and complete the required documentation
- Do not perform any task unless you have been properly trained and authorized to do so - when in doubt, stop and ask.
Internal training requirements
As well as the essential minimum Experience and Qualifications requirements for you joining STATS (as detailed above in this Job Description) the internal training is tailored to complement each individual’s main responsibilities of this role. You will be assigned a skills profile at the time of hire, and this will include the additional training requirements to that of your Experience and Qualifications. The Skills Profile categories for your role are as follows:
- Critical safety and compliance training
- STATS induction training
- Tool and equipment training relevant to your duties
- Recommended development aligned with your position
This ensures all employees receive the support, knowledge, skills and resources needed to succeed in your position. Additional training requirements will be discussed with your line manager and may form part of the CPD process.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales within the oil and gas industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Proven success in the US energy market with direct experience managing regional sales activities.
Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge
- Degree qualified in engineering or business-related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing sales professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective, repeatable sales processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in sales pipeline management.
- Knowledge of pipeline isolation products and services, including hot tapping, line stopping, and STATS’ BISEP or Remote Tecno Plug systems (preferred).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client sites, conferences, and regional meetings.
- Regular use of computer, phone, and virtual communication tools.
- May involve extended hours or flexible scheduling during peak business periods or travel schedules.
- Domestic and occasional international travel required to support regional business activities.
