Job Purpose:

• To support the significant increase in Hot Tapping and BISEP isolation operations in UAE.

Directly Reports To

• Operation Engineer
  
  

Along with:

• Interventions Technical Support Engineer
  
  

External Relationships

• Clients and Suppliers
  
  

Main Responsibilities

• Hot tapping operations using a full range of hot tap machines.
• BISEP isolation tool installation – additional training required.
• Fitting completion plugs and flow through plugs.
• To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools and equipment at onshore, offshore and client locations.
• Operate various tools in a safe manner while ensuring that a quality product and service is provided to the client at all times.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients while offshore / at client locations.

Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities:

• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
• Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paper work is completed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Diploma.
• Previous track record of Hot taps completed.
• Hot tap training certificates.
• 3-5 Years' experience in hot tapping.
  

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

• Experience in oil and gas mechanical service, hot tapping and plugging operations.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Onsite machining experience.

• A positive attitude and pleasant manner towards fellow staff and suppliers.
• Good communication skills.
