Case Study - Super Duplex High Pressure 8" Structural Repair Clamps
Bespoke super duplex repair clamps engineered and installed for a North Sea topside flowline, overcoming space constraints and delivering a high-pressure, permanent, fully compliant solution.
Case Study - Subsea Mechanical Clamp and Hot Tap Tie-In
A subsea tie-in clamp and hot tapping in Australia provided a permanent connection to an existing live pressurised pipeline. Dual seals are set and tested prior to setting the structural locks.
Mechanical Clamps for Onshore/Topsides Process Pipe and Pipeline Repairs
STATS' range of mechanical clamps are designed and manufactured for general pipe repair, pressure containment, and structural integrity on onshore and topside facilities.
While mass-produced alternatives are available, STATS Group excels in providing highly engineered solutions for demanding applications and specific client requirements.

Structural Repair Clamps
Building on the capabilities of pressure containment clamps, the enhanced functionality of STATS' structural repair clamps provide not only pressure containment but also axial restraint and radial support to the pipe.
STATS has successfully designed and installed bespoke 8-inch permanent super duplex structural repair clamps for high-pressure, high-temperature (down to -45°C) applications in the North Sea, specifically engineered to fit on a pipe bend section and meet a 25-year design life.
Structural Repair Clamps: What You Need To Know
- Mechanism: Fitted with taper locks, these clamps are designed to transfer the full axial load of the pipe to the clamp body, enabling them to withstand full pipeline separation loads. They can also provide radial support when grout-filled.
- Applications: These clamps are crucial for repairs where the structural integrity of the pipeline is compromised or where there is a risk of pipe separation.

Pressure Containment Clamps
These clamps are engineered to be installed on damaged or leaking pipework, effectively encapsulating the defect within the clamp body and regaining pressure integrity through robust elastomer seals that engage with the sound parent pipe.
Our designs incorporate high quality elastomer seals that are highly compliant to poor pipe conditions or ovality.
Pressure Containment Clamps: What You Need to Know
- Installation: Designed for simple installation with minimal disruption to the existing pipework or the ongoing operation of the system.
- Key Features: They typically seal against the pipeline using compression flanges and are available with single or dual seals, offering body cavity or annulus test capabilities.
- STATS' Advantage: For clients who require very specific specifications, non-standard materials, or specialised coatings, STATS Group offers a superior solution, differentiating itself from companies that standardise on a fixed design.

Pinhole Leak Clamps
Pinhole leak clamps are essential tools for the rapid and versatile repair of localised pin-hole leaks or defects up to 12 millimetres in process piping within oil and gas facilities. These clamps are particularly effective for patching small holes and defects.
Economical for general use, pinhole clamps offer a temporary, robust remedy for "critical" or "high-risk" pinhole leak scenarios, while a permanent, engineered solution is sought. They’re especially useful where factors like demanding operating conditions, environmental challenges, or the need for high reliability in a "temporary" fix situation are at play.
Pinhole Leak Repair Clamps: What You Need To Know
- Mechanism: The clamp consists of two halves that fit around the pipe, tightened by bolts. A compression screw with an elastomer sealing cone is then inserted and torqued into position at the leak point to create an effective seal.
- Key Features: For rapid and versatile repair of localised pin-hole leaks or defects up to 12 millimetres. They feature a Xylan coating for excellent corrosion resistance.
- Availability: They are available in standard sizes from 2” up to 48” and for pressures up to 153 Bar.
- STATS' Advantage: Known for their simple and rapid installation onto a live leak with minimal disruption, they require no pipework preparation.

Subsea Pipeline Repair Clamps
For Harsh Offshore Environments
Addressing the unique challenges of underwater operations, from pressure and corrosion to installation difficulties, STATS’ robust subsea repair clamps are designed for effective leak sealing and structural repair in the harshest offshore conditions. They're available for installation either by divers or by ROVs, remotely operated vehicles.
Local Everywhere
Instead of flying people and equipment all over the world, we've set up fully-functional bases in nine strategic locations. These bases enable us to employ local technicians, work with local manufacturers, and invest in local economies. They're a significant investment, but our regional bases are key to delivering the best possible service for our clients - and minimising the environmental impact of our work.
