Job Purpose
The role will involve the development, assembly, testing and maintenance of the remote control systems used in the actuation and monitoring of STATS High Pressure Pipeline Isolation Tooling.
Working in a small team reporting to the workshop manger, you will have the ability and motivation to work independently, developing both the product and procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding part of the business.

Main Responsibilities

Assembly & Test of remote control systems.

Preparation of systems for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and deployment.

Development of the hydraulic systems for the next generation remote control units and for new control system product lines.

Travel to client facilities both on and offshore on an occasional basis as part of an operational deployment team.

Fault finding & repair.

Creation and development of company Maintenance / Diagnostic / Test / Operation Procedures.

Stock Control within remote systems workshop.

Development of interface systems.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities
- To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paper work is completed.
EXPERIENCE / Competence / skills / knowledge
- Experience in a similar or equivalent mechanical role.
- Previous Oil & Gas experience desired but alternative industry including aerospace, would be acceptable.
- Experience working with hydraulic / control systems.
- IT skills – MS office (Word / Excel) & Database use.
- Offshore experience an advantage.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Education background
- Technical Industrial Training Certificate
- UAE driving license
Personal Qualities
- Ability to work independently and in a small team.
- Motivation to improve and advance existing technologies and procedures.
