Tell us about your role?

My job is to understand the maintenance and operational challenges faced by national and international oil, gas and petrochemical companies in maintaining production at processing and distribution terminals, refineries and through their long distance pipelines, then present solutions from the broad range of STATS technologies to overcome these challenges.

What excites you about the work you are doing now?

STATS offer cutting edge isolation technology to the hydrocarbon industry that is unrivalled by any other company in the world. Clients derive immense economic, operational and environmental benefits when they choose to deploy STATS in the execution and delivery of projects on time and in budget which excites me greatly.

What has been the highlight of your time at STATS Group?

I’m proud to have contributed towards good positioning of STATS business in Qatar and strategic securing of major isolation projects from key operators such as Dolphin, Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas and RasGas. Having been able to support the initial break-through contracts with Petroleum Development Oman and our first Test Tool and BISEP™ projects in Saudi Arabia also provided great satisfaction.

Why did you choose to join STATS Group?

I joined STATS for the "value proposition" they bring to the table which is not offered by anybody else. Having worked in mechanical services for the brownfield maintenance sector in the Middle East for many years, I’m well aware that these large oil and gas plants feed multiple customers and have strategic commitments to continue production. The more I thought about the production challenges of these customers and how STATS technologies could add value to these operators, I was absolutely convinced I wanted to join STATS. It’s exciting to join a company that possesses the ability to design and engineer bespoke plugging and isolation solutions to allow clients to carry out online maintenance projects without the need to shutdown, drain or vent their pipelines.

What were your initial impressions on joining the company?

My initial impression of STATS has remained unchanged to this day; as one of the most professional companies I have come across. STATS carries out its business with great responsibility, care and in line with the pre-defined systems and procedures to ensure that every isolation project is executed to the utmost quality and safety requirements which meet and exceed industry standards.

What are your future aspirations?

My aspirations are simple; I wish to remain an integral part of the team at STATS and continue to contribute towards its growth and development.
