STATS Group has been given the green light to roll-out its specialist pipeline technology and tools in California after obtaining a licence to operate in the Golden State.
Obtaining a California Pipeline Contractor’s License provides STATS with the legal authorisation to bid on and to perform pipeline projects, while ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
STATS, which has Stateside operations in Houston, are market leaders in the supply of pressurised pipeline isolation, hot tapping and line stopping services which enables safe and efficient maintenance and repair of onshore, topsides and subsea pipeline infrastructure.
The development is in response to requests from asset owners and operators for STATS to conduct hot tapping and BISEP line stopping services, specifically addressing challenging isolations, providing leak-tight double block and bleed isolation in pipelines with issues such as ovality, and internal surface irregularities such as weld seams or corrosion.
