STATS Skydive Pair take the Plunge for CLAN

First-time skydivers Peter Brook and Rowan Reynolds will plunge 10,000 feet in less than two minutes to raise funds for a north east cancer charity.

The brave duo take to the skies next month (7 Nov) at Fife Airport in Glenrothes and hope to raise more than £1000 for CLAN which supports and improves the quality of life for those affected by cancer.

Colleagues at Kintore-based pipeline engineering specialist, STATS Group, have rallied behind the cause and family and friends are chipping in to meet the fund raising target as they prepare for their tandem skydives.

Peter and Rowan can expect to travel through the air at speeds of 120mph for about 30 seconds before the parachute opens in a controlled descent to the ground.

Network and telecoms engineer Peter said: “CLAN is an excellent charity and while I have not been personally affected by cancer, we all have members of our family who have been in some way. I’ve never done anything like this before but I am up for the challenge.”

Technical analyst, Rowan added: “Jumping out of the plane will be the easy bit, we just want to raise as much as we can for CLAN.”
